Principal Message

Hello Sedgwick Dolphins!

My name is Joan (Joanie) Orvick and I am excited to begin this year as the principal of Sedgwick Elementary School. I have worked in CUSD for 10 years and attended CUSD schools as a student myself. I am filled with a sense of gratitude and enthusiasm for the opportunity to serve this wonderful school community. 

The Sedgwick staff is dedicated to creating a dynamic culture that focuses on enriching academic experiences, as well as the social, emotional, and physical development of our students. We are honored to have the opportunity to teach your child and learn about all of their unique assets.

In addition to our exceptional staff, family & community partnerships are vital to the success of Sedgwick students. Please look out for different ways to partner with our school through the Sedgwick PTA, School Site Council and/or other classroom & school volunteer opportunities. We need you to help make Sedgwick all that it can be for our students.

This website serves as a tool to provide general information about the school. In addition to the website, our school will also send bi-weekly newsletters (The Dolphin Dispatch) via ParentSquare with highlights and information throughout the school year.
